Here in Texas, the prevalence of diabetes exceeds the national average. Because of the seriousness of this disease, at Park Plaza Hospital, we developed an educational program to help individuals manage their diabetes. We offer classes in diabetes self-management education, gestational diabetes and pre-diabetes. We also offer group classes in Spanish. New support groups and an insulin pump center are in the works and coming soon to the Diabetes Center at Park Plaza Hospital.

The Diabetes Center at Park Plaza Hospital has been recognized by the American Diabetes Association for Quality Self-Management Education*.
